Summary
Pulse keeps gameplay progress on your device. Biological Games does not run a gameplay backend, does not create accounts, and does not operate its own analytics dashboard.
Pulse does use third-party services for store payments and optional rewarded videos: RevenueCat, Google AdMob, Apple, and Google Play. Those services process the data needed to deliver purchases, ads, consent flows, and store payments under their own privacy policies.
If you uninstall Pulse, your local save data is deleted. There is no account to delete and no cloud profile held by Biological Games.
- No accounts, no login, no profile, no email field.
- Optional rewarded videos only - no forced ads, no banners, no interstitials.
- Your saves live on your device, not on our servers. Uninstalling deletes them.
01 What we collect
Biological Games does not collect gameplay data from Pulse. There is no signup, no login, no profile, no email field, no questionnaire, no cloud save, and no Biological Games analytics pipeline.
The app stores the following on your device only, using your operating system's standard storage (localStorage on browser builds; iOS UserDefaults and Android SharedPreferences on native builds, via Capacitor Preferences):
- Best level reached, best score, and total banked orbs.
- Currently equipped cosmetics and which Progenitor you've selected.
- Per-Progenitor local leaderboard - your own runs only; there is no online leaderboard.
- Sound volume and mute preference.
- Pulse Pass tier, XP, and quest progress for the current season.
- Achievements you've unlocked (e.g. "banked 500 orbs in one run").
- A 2-4 character "player tag" you can type into the Scoreboard screen.
This data never leaves your device. It is not synced to a cloud, not sent to a server, and not shared with us. We have no way to read it.
02 Third-party services
Pulse uses four third-party services, all of which have their own privacy policies. You should read theirs alongside this one.
Validates App Store / Play Store receipts so the right number of orbs, Pulse Pass, or Remove Ads entitlement unlocks after a purchase. Receives an anonymous random UUID (not your Apple ID, Google account, name, or email), your purchase receipt, your device country, platform, and app version. See the RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
Serves optional rewarded video ads only. Pulse does not use banners, interstitials, or forced ads. AdMob may process device information, advertising identifiers, consent choices, IP address, and ad events needed to request and serve ads. In some regions, Google's User Messaging Platform may ask for advertising consent before ads are requested. See Google's advertising privacy page and AdMob EU user consent policy.
Processes iOS payments and receives the standard information needed to charge your Apple ID. We never see your Apple ID, name, billing address, or payment method. See the Apple Privacy Policy.
Processes Android payments via Google Play. We never see your Google account, name, billing address, or payment method. See the Google Privacy Policy.
03 Advertising and analytics
Rewarded ads are optional. Pulse never interrupts play with an ad. Rewarded videos appear only as clearly marked bonus buttons, and Remove Ads / Pulse Pass owners get the same rewards without watching a video.
- No forced ads - no banners, no interstitials, and no automatic ad breaks.
- Optional rewarded ads - post-run bonus orbs, daily chest, daily quest / Pass progress, and cosmetic try-on rewards may ask you to watch a rewarded video.
- Remove Ads - the standalone Remove Ads purchase, Pulse Pass premium, and qualifying orb packs make rewarded-ad buttons grant their reward without playing a video.
- No Biological Games analytics - no Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, Adjust, AppsFlyer, Sentry, Mixpanel, or Amplitude controlled by us.
- AdMob data - Google may process ad request, consent, device, and ad-event data to provide rewarded videos under Google's policies.
- No accounts - nothing to create or verify; the Scoreboard "player tag" is a local label, not an account.
- No social - no Facebook, Twitter, or Discord SDKs, and no share button that posts on your behalf.
- No app location feature - Pulse never asks for GPS or precise location. Third-party services may infer coarse region from network or store metadata to comply with payments, ads, consent, tax, or fraud-prevention requirements.
- No camera, microphone, contacts, photos, calendar, or health data - Pulse never requests these permissions.
- No data sold or rented by Biological Games - we do not sell, rent, lease, or license your gameplay data to anyone.
04 Children's privacy
Pulse is rated 9+ on the App Store and equivalent on Google Play. It is suitable for, but not directed at, children under 13. Biological Games does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If you are a parent or guardian and a child uses Pulse on your device:
- All in-app purchases are processed by Apple or Google - their parental-control tools (Screen Time, Family Sharing, Google Family Link) are the way to restrict purchases.
- Rewarded videos are optional, but you should use device-level parental controls if you do not want a child to access ad-supported reward buttons.
- Save data lives only on the device. Removing the app removes the data.
05 Your rights - GDPR & CCPA
Because Pulse stores nothing about you on our servers, the GDPR and CCPA "right to access / right to delete" requests are largely satisfied by uninstalling the app - that wipes your local save.
For purchase records held by RevenueCat, you can submit a data request through their Privacy Center; they handle requests directly as the data controller for that subset. For Apple, Google Play, or AdMob records, use their account-level data and privacy tools.
If you live in the EU, UK, or California, you have additional statutory rights (access, rectify, port, restrict, object, and erase). Email us and we'll help - though we do not hold gameplay, ad, or purchase records ourselves, so many requests will be a redirect to the relevant third-party service.
06 Data retention
- On-device data - kept until you uninstall the app or clear its storage from device settings.
- RevenueCat receipt data - retained per RevenueCat's policy (currently 7 years for tax/audit; see their site for the up-to-date number).
- Google AdMob ad data - retained per Google's advertising and AdMob policies.
- Apple / Google purchase records - retained per their respective policies.
Biological Games does not retain backups of your gameplay save, because we never receive it.
07 Changes
If we add a third-party SDK, integrate analytics, add a backend, change ad placements, or otherwise change what data leaves your device, we will:
- Update this page (the URL stays the same).
- Bump the Effective date at the top.
- Note the change in the App Store / Play Store update notes.
The current version of this policy is always the one at this URL.
08 Contact
For privacy-specific questions, data requests, or to flag an issue, email us. Biological Games is one person, and that person reads every message.
This policy reflects what Pulse actually does. It is not a generic template - if anything in the app changes, this page changes before the change ships.
